Rugsėjo 4 d. 18 val., sostinės Panerių g. 38 erdvėse atidaroma Mortos Jonynaitės paroda „Žemė kalbina dangų“. Tai – suaustų pokalbių ir tekstilinių kreipinių paroda, kurioje menininkė pasakoja apie intymius ir laikui imlius komunikacijos procesus. Kaip atidi antropologė, M. Jonynaitė fiksuoja artimųjų prisiminimus ir tolimųjų nuogirdas, neleisdama į užmarštį nusėsti labai bendroms archajiškoms patirtims: norui būti kartu ir suprasti vienas kitą. Išvertusi šiuos pasakojimus į skulptūrinius ir tekstilinius objektus bei instaliacijas, menininkė jose tyrinėja bandymą susikalbėti tarp skirtingų kartų, ideologinių režimų, kalbinių registrų, laiko juostų, esaties ir nebūties, žemės ir dangaus.

On 4 September at 18:00, Morta Jonynaitė’s exhibition “Messages from the Sky” opens at Panerių St 38 in Vilnius. It is an exhibition of woven conversations and textile forms of address, in which the artist reflects on intimate and time-consuming processes of communication. Like an attentive anthropologist, Jonynaitė gathers the memories of those close to her and fragments of stories heard from afar, keeping certain shared, archaic experiences from slipping into oblivion: the desire to be together and to understand one another. Translating these narratives into sculptural and textile objects and installations, the artist explores attempts at communication across different generations, ideological regimes, linguistic registers and time zones; between presence and absence, earth and sky.
