Dimpa

Dimpa reflects on my work in film productions—a physically demanding job as a costume designer that directly sustains my artistic practice. I wove replicas of IKEA’s heavy-duty Dimpa bags as both a playful gesture and an homage to how these two creative worlds nourish each other. Woven from linen using a durable ripstop structure—the same used in military textiles and the original bags—they sit at the intersection of folklore and gorpcore. Each hand-dyed bag serves as a vibrant vessel for the stories carried from one film set to the next.
